bobisbankrupt lives in the Los Angeles area.  A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, he started out in the working world as a reporter for the Dayton Daily News in Dayton, Ohio.

After “creative differences” with his newspaper management, he escaped to film and TV graduate school at the University of Michigan.  He left graduate school, came to Los Angeles and embarked upon a career in feature film post-production.  He was an assistant sound editor on “JFK,” “Heat,” “Courage Under Fire,” “Godzilla,” “The Patriot,” “The Bourne Supremacy,” “Van Helsing,” “A Civil Action,” “The Island,” and “21.”

Due to film industry contraction, bobisbankrupt’s assistant sound career evaporated and he filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in September, 2008.  He is now exploring writing opportunities in the blogosphere.

bobisbankrupt.com is about “BK with attitude,” about taking responsibility for our mistakes and learning from them and keeping our heads up as we rebuild, renew and reinvent our lives.  It’s a place the BKed and non-BKed can find information and share stories and support as we journey through these difficult times.
